Gary Pickford

Gary Pickford, Tarsus Distribution’s MD, is passionate about creating a world-class technology distribution business. What excites him about his role at Tarsus is being a part of an Executive Management team that is enthusiastic and dedicated to enabling Tarsus Distribution’s reseller partners to grow and thrive.

Beyond the normal responsibilities of a MD, Gary is excited about creating an ecosystem that revolves around the Tarsus digitally integrated supply chain. He believes in the true meaning of partnership with the technology channel and how through collaboration and the effective use of technology, we can transform how we learn, engage and flourish as businesses,- and as people.

From 1985 to 1995, Gary worked in the furniture retail and office furniture industry, first at 40 Winks and then at Olivetti. He made the transition into IT while at Olivetti in 1996 and then in 2001, joined Siltek. In that year, Gary and two others left and started Advanced Channel Technologies (A.C.T.), a company that ultimately became part of the MBTech group of companies.

Gary is a gifted collaborator, mediator and team leader. For 11 years, he was Sales Director at A.C.T. and then in 2014, moved into the Managing Director position. Gary played a critical role in the merger of the MB Technologies group subsidiary companies – A.C.T. and Platinum Micro – into Tarsus Distribution. He helped set up the management structure and the innovative go-to-market strategy.

Gary was Tarsus Distribution’s Sales Director from 2014 to 2017 before he was appointed the company’s CCO. He believes that diversity is what sets a business apart and makes it soar. Gary has stepped into the role of MD, as of November 2022.
