New Surface Go 3
For a premium Windows experience on the go
Tarsus Distribution has announced the availability of the latest Microsoft Surface Go 3 Business tablet in South Africa, bringing a premium Windows-based mobile computing experience to those who need to travel light.
The new Surface Go 3 device with Windows 10 or Windows 11 Pro is designed to support work on the go. With a 10.5-inch PixelSense display, the Surface Go 3 for Business can come with an up to Intel Core i3 processor and delivers up to 11 hours of battery life. With an 8.0 MP HD rear-facing camera, 5MP HD front-facing camera, studio mics, and Dolby Audio speakers, users can capture documents, photos, and videos in high definition, and participate in clear, lifelike video calls.
The new device delivers the same premium user experience as the other devices in the Surface portfolio, but with the added advantage of lighter weight and greater flexibility, says Justine Louw, BU lead for Microsoft at Tarsus Distribution. “The Surface Go 3 for Business adapts to the ways people need to work. They can type reports and emails using the Surface Go Type Cover in laptop mode, handle touch and writing tasks using the Surface Pen in tablet mode, or write and sketch with Surface Pen in studio mode.”
Daniel Collins, Tarsus Distribution BDM on the Surface portfolio, says the new device meets a growing need for a sophisticated and versatile Windows-based tablet for business users. “The Surface Go 3 for Business delivers a faster processor, stable connectivity and optional secure LTE Advanced and fast Wi-Fi 6. For a full desktop experience, the Surface Go 3 for Business can be plugged into a Surface Dock to increase productivity with an additional monitor and increase the number of ports for additional Surface accessories.
Plus, IT departments don’t need to grapple with getting Android-based tablets ready for their Windows-based infrastructure. With the Surface Go 3 for Business, they can standardise on Windows 10 or 11 based end-user devices and manage the entire environment more easily, with zero-touch deployment and cloud-based management. They can be easily deployed, managed and secured with Surface for Business, making them ideal for use in fieldwork, retail, education, finance, health, insurance, sales, and for any professionals on the go who need to work within the Microsoft ecosystem,” he says.
Surface Go 3 for Business offers full access flexibility for frontline workers, but can also be used in Kiosk Mode, which restricts access to only the apps and tools customers or employees need. It also features fast charge capability, which means there is almost no downtime for the on-the-go professional.
A Forrester study last year found that business leaders expect that over 50% of their workforce will remain in remote or hybrid work status (i.e., a mix of in-office and remote) post-pandemic, says Collins. “Over 70% of those surveyed believe that significant to moderate improvements to PC quality are needed to support hybrid work more successfully. PCs must have the right features, security, and supporting processes to drive desired business outcomes. Microsoft’s Surface portfolio is designed to meet this need.”
The Surface Go3 for Business will be available from around R9,499.00*, with a range of Surface accessories and third-party accessories available.
