Printacom won two prestigious international awards recently; these were handed over at the annual OKI conference that was held in Athens, Greece in April this year.
Competing against all OKI partners in the MEITA region (Middle East, India, Turkey, Africa), Tarsus Technology Group’s Printacom division took home the top prizes for the Largest Deal of the Year, and the Marketing Excellence Award, a very impressive achievement in a highly competitive field.
Printacom MD Bernice Hynard and Product Manager Safera Ibrahim were there to accept the two awards.
The Largest Deal of the Year award was earned by Printacom winning a three-year tender to supply the City of Cape Town, which is part of the Western Cape Government, with hardware and consumables from May 2018 to May 2021.
The Marketing Excellence Award was won for following the official OKI Marketing Strategy for the last year, executing effectively on colour campaigns to “get the full picture” and more recently, an IVP account-based marketing campaign.
Printacom has also run various events dedicated to developing specific verticals over the last six months (with even more planned), which reports have shown have significantly increased the presence of the OKI brand in South Africa.
A Welcome Win
Says Bernice Hynard, Printacom MD, “The marketing award is particularly welcome for our team. We put enormous energy into talking to the market about our OKI points of difference and marketing a brand which we all believe in.
“We were incredibly grateful for the win on The City of Cape Town. OKI has shown itself as a brand that can compete well against bigger brands on total cost of ownership in the traditional office space, as well as stand above our peers in our speciality industrial print products,” she adds.
Congratulations to Bernice and her team for their excellent work!
