Are you an experienced and energetic technology enthusiast who, through excellent business relationships, can establish and grow HPI within Tarsus focusing on the Southern Africa market?
We are looking for a Product Manager to join the HPI Commercial team and manage all aspects of the distribution process for the brand. In this role you will be required to build and maintain customer and vendor relationships while achieving individual brand budgets and sales growth plans.
Making use of these relationships you would be responsible for establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and go-to person in the market while promoting the HPI brand and increasing market share in Southern Africa.

Requirements:
Educational
- Grade 12, or equivalent.
- Tertiary qualification preferable (BCom ideal).
Experience
- Sales and marketing experience in IT, technology, and consumer electronics.
- Product management experience.
- Inventory management experience will be advantageous.
- Good understanding of the distribution landscape and experience at a distributor/reseller level.
Skills
- Financial and business acumen.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities
Customer and Vendor Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both customers and vendors.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and partnership.
- Leverage relationships to foster trust and credibility in the market.
Achievement of Brand Budgets and Sales Growth Plans
- Achieve individual brand budgets as set out by the company.
- Drive sales growth plans in line with company targets and goals.
- Monitor and report on sales performance against growth objectives.
Market Positioning and Brand Promotion
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor and go-to market expert for customers and vendors.
- Promote the HPI brand to increase market share within the Southern African region.
- Actively seek opportunities to enhance the brand’s presence in the market.
Vendor Process and Strategy Alignment
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of vendor processes and strategies.
- Make informed product management decisions that align with vendor requirements.
- Ensure that vendor guidelines are met while promoting products effectively.
Channel Development
- Develop and manage sales channels in Southern African markets for HP products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective promotion and distribution.
- Build strong networks within the channel to drive product sales.
Sales Planning and Inventory Management
- Implement effective plans to drive product sales across all relevant markets.
- Proactively manage and address aging inventory to reduce product obsolescence.
- Maximise stock effectiveness through forecasting and inventory management strategies.
